Laroye AI operates on a dual-arm model. The consulting arm partners with academic researchers, governmental institutions, and industry stakeholders to unlock value from operational data. Revenue from consulting funds AI products that tackle human welfare and wellbeing challenges traditional investment overlooks.

The name "Laroye" (LAH-ROE-YAY) is derived from a West African concept meaning "that which speaks/reasons for the sake of understanding."

Founded in 2024 by David Akinmade, University of Regina alumni and AI researcher.

## Products
- **JOYfuel** — A screen time platform helping parents curate healthy, educational digital feeds for children aged 5–15. Currently onboarding 1,000 parents across Canada, sponsored by Teachers Life Ontario. [joyfuel.ai](https://www.joyfuel.ai/)
- **Tree-Ring AI** — Predicts water availability, droughts, and floods using tree-ring growth patterns. Developed in collaboration with PARC. Coming soon at tree-ring.ai.
