Fair to you, fair to David

Booking and payment

• Fees are in Canadian dollars and paid in full before the event, either through the Stripe Book button on the Speaking page or through a quote sent as a Stripe link or invoice. Applicable taxes are added where required.
• Your date is held once payment is received. David confirms within two working days. If he can’t make that date, you choose a full refund or another date.
• A quote stays valid for 14 days. A date isn’t held until it is paid.
• Travel and accommodation are billed separately at cost: economy airfare, a standard hotel room and ground transport. You can book them yourself, or we book them and invoice you before travel.

If you need to move or cancel

• With 60 or more days’ notice you get everything back. Closer to the date, moving to a new date instead of cancelling keeps more of your fee. Any new date must fall within 12 months of the original one and depends on David’s availability.

• You can move to a new date once at no cost when you tell us 30 or more days before the event.
• Switching from in person to virtual 14 or more days before the event? We refund the difference between your fee and the virtual fee.
• Travel already booked for you is refunded only to the extent the airline or hotel refunds it. We cancel what can be cancelled and pass back every dollar recovered.

If David cancels

• If David has to cancel for any reason, including illness, a family emergency or travel disruption, you choose one of three options: a full refund of the fee and of any travel you paid us for, a new date, or a live virtual session with the difference refunded.
• If he is delayed in transit on the day, he will deliver live by video where the event can support it. If you would rather not, you get a full refund.
• If you want a replacement speaker, David will recommend people he trusts.

Events affected by things nobody controls

• If severe weather, a public-health order, the loss of the venue, government action or a similar event outside either side’s control stops the event, we first try to move it to a new date within 12 months or deliver it virtually, with the fee carried over in full.
• If neither works, you are refunded the full fee minus any travel costs already spent that could not be recovered.

Recording and materials

• You may record the session and share it with your attendees and members, and use short clips to promote your event, crediting David Akinmade and Laroye AI. Ask first before selling access to the recording or using it in paid courses.
• David may share short excerpts only with your permission. Confidential or closed-door sessions stay off the record if you ask.
• Slides and talk content remain David’s. You may share a PDF copy with attendees.

Refunds and changes

• Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of the change being agreed. We do not deduct payment processing fees.
• Send changes and cancellations in writing by replying to David’s confirmation email. The notice period counts from the day we receive it.
• Neither side is liable to the other for more than the fee paid for the booking.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
